In 2024 the Canadian Aid and Relief Foundation (CARF) committed to expanding its humanitarian reach—providing critical aid wherever the need is the greatest.

Orphans & Widows

Canadian Aid and Relief Foundation firmly supports the Declaration of Rights of the Child as provided by the United Nations General Assembly.

Hospital

Karbala is a holy city in Iraq about 70 miles south of Baghdad. Karbala has a population of over 1.5 million residents. 

Schools

Canadian Aid and Relief Foundation’s Imam al-Sadiq elementary school was established in 2007 exclusively educating orphans.

Student Loan

CARF is aiming to provide emergency loans to distressed families and low-income students.

Food/In-Kind

Canadian Aid and Relief Foundation is eager to support families with necessary home appliances like ovens, refrigerators, heaters, and swamp coolers over twice a year.

Women Empowerment

To create change in a community, especially in Iraq, it is crucial that we focus on women and young girls; for they are the center of the families that make up a community and society.

Refugee Assistance

Over 5 million Iraqis have lost their homes because of the war. Many of them are internally displaced people (IDPs), forced to leave their homes with nothing more than the clothes on their backs.

Human Resources

CARF supports education and training in order for staff to continue to develop their skills. We are willing to provide ongoing workshops and lectures for all teachers and administrators.
